Nessie, The Loch Ness Monster

Nessie inhabits Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands

In Gaelic it is called ‘Niseag’

It is a mythological creature based on the Plesiosauria and Cryptid

Nessie is large with a long neck and one or more humps protruding from the water

 

She is argueably one of the most famous mythical lake creatures, first seen in the seventh centuary, with popularity growing after the 1930s
