The urban legend of razor apples or poisoned candy given to random children has become a Halloween trick-or-treating modern horror story!
The story behind the myth and the imagery struck me, and inspired this painting.

The legend of St Caranton’s Dragon orginiates from Somerset, near where I used to live!
He terrorised Ker Moor, during Arthurian times. When St Caranton went to slay the dragon, it allowed him to put a leash on him. Impressed by the dragons meek nature, he spared its life, with the promise it would leave and never return
One of my all time favourite cartoon series
It starts off as a cute kids cartoon but develops in story-line and character complexity immensely over time
